On Saturday February 12th, we signed the paperwork to purchase a 2007 Itasca Sunova. This is a 35 foot Class A Gas powered coach. Itasca is a Winnebago brand. It currently has a king bed in the back, a set of bunk beds, and of course the various couches and tables that can also serve as beds. We’re going to change out the bed in the back for a queen (already have the mattress) and likely remove the top bunk for Molly to have more headroom. Hopefully all the credit verification stuff is done this week, and we can pick it up and get our orientation walk through.
Right now, we plan on taking it out for a few local weekend camping trips so that we can all get better used to how everything works, and what it is like to be in the unit. After that, we’ll assess the desired changes and begin to implement them over the next couple weeks.
This purchase happened a little sooner than expected, but the availability of this model, the price, and certain financial situations, all came into alignment that Saturday afternoon.
It is quite calming knowing that this is going to happen. We’ll update this page with things related to the setup and changes we make to the RV over it’s use.
